Stutering then shutting off...

Hello Yall,

As I was driving home tonight from my girlfriends house I noticed a stumble coming from my car when ever I hit the brakes. When i would come to a stop it would drop from about 1200RPM down to 500RPM and then bounce to 700RPM and idle rough. It did this a couple of times and then when i came to a light getting to my house the car just shut off. The IAC is new so are the plugs, wire, Coil, Cap, Rotor. The fuel filter is also new and I cleaned out the air filter recently. Can it be my fuel pump taking a dump or do I need to get another IAC? Please help i hate when my car acts stupid...

could be a fuel pump issue, but u won't know unless u can check the fuel pressure, get urself a guage and try it out.....don't decide to replace it for grins, as you might find urself hunting in the dark.

Did you clean out the IAC passages when you replaced it?

If the stumble gets worse when you apply the brakes, sounds to me like a vac leak...
