i would guess between 150 and 160. the optima will slow the car down (probably nothing noticable) it is heavier than most batteries. the chip could be a problem too, altough i am just guessing. with all the work you have done a custom chip would help you.

well yes and no. i am assuming there is a good bit of mileage on the engine. the timing chain probably has slack in it, ring seal is not optimal, the valve job is worn, carbon covering parts, and the fuel pump could be starting to lose pressure. and like i said it would probably benifit from a custom chip. you don't just bolt on x number of horsepower everything works in conjuntion with one another.

Exhaust/headders are really the only thing freeing up any power (POSSIBLY the pulley). Even if you only gained 10hp, it's more than a 16% gain, which is pretty good. Add a cam and work the heads, you'll REALLY benefit from it.

it seems to me that almost all those mods would work together to add power. with the exception of the tranny mods they all do something to increase air/exhaust flow and improve the use of fuel in the engine. But i guess it could still be the case that the engine is high mileage...

you won't see any MAJOR gains until you do a cam swap and some good valve springs and a good port and polish job throughout everything. then, you'll need a bigger throttle body to help out your airflow.

Why guess, though? Walk thru the phonebook and find a place that has a chassis dyno! I think it's usually about $100 for a few runs, and if ya do it, show us the power graphs!!
