Jumpjng A and D on Relay

Transmission: 5 - SPD With 3.42 open rear end

Jumpjng A and D on Relay

When you jump out A and D on the fuel pump are you jumping out the relay connected to the harness or disconnected from the harness and then jump them out? Im a little confused. Thanks
