What the heck???
I'm getting annoyed here. I drove my friends 89 RS. The thing is stock. So is mine. However my car has so much power when the motor is cold and the air temp outside is like 20. I love it. Anyhow in 3rd gear the thing has like no power unless the rpm is at 3000. I drove her RS. Also a 5 spd. The thing pulls much more then mine does. Has much more feel then mine. The only difference that I can think of is she has snorkle air intake and I have the stock firebird one. Could this do it? Now my mechcanic said I have to much back pressure, could he be right? If he is why would it have so much power when cold? Car doesn't overheat either. Car has all of the following done within the last year. Fuel filter, plugs, wires, coil, rebuilt dist. air filter, new stock cat and exhaust. Whats going on here? Thanks guys

Hers has much less miles.
my 91 with 145,000 miles ran like crap compared to my 92 with 100,000 miles.

Hey yep
My car runs hard and strong all the time, only cause I have a true cold air / ram air setup.
Which mean my car gets air directly from out side the car.
With no gaps or breaks in the system.
If I let my car suck hot under hood air, It becomes sluggish when warm.

Thanks guys. So if you think I improve the air coming into the car it would run much better? Thats only 40000 mile difference didn't think it could be noticable. I run 10w-30 and engine restore in it now. Anything else I could do? I was thinking of saving up for the 3.4 swap? Thanks guys
