I need a picture of the front view of a 2.8L v6 engine. I need to check something with my own engine...

Thanks, My engine looks way different than that...that black hose thats coming from between the colored parts is hanging at the bottom of the engine. Hmm, I am missing my smog pump... Know where I would go about finding one? for an '89 firebird.

looks different because that's a carbed v6, u need a fuel injected model. Should be able to find some in the search.

We gotta talk

Where did you come up with that tensioner mount and positioning? It's what I need for my electric waterpump function so I am wraping the belt around the crank pulley enough to prevent slippage.
I happen to have that same steering pump bracket sitting on the new motor right now from the '94 4th gen so I am covered on that. My alt position doesnt matter much being in the stock position because the angle from the tensioner you have up to the stock alt position will work.

that's teh 3.4 I had inthe bird. Dale has what's left of that engine ( he changed out prety much everything). I didn't worry about having the engine look exactly like the 2.8, si I figured oit the a/c bypass rout & took about 6 belts to find the right length. I have it somewhere on this board,...somewhere.
So basically, tensioner mount & positioning are stock location. and yeah, that empty a/c space looks like it just begs for a s/c doesn't it?
