Fuel Economy

I have my 2.8 V6 5 speed Camaro, and a 1990 XLT 5.8 liter bronco. My bronco is gettin some friggen nasty gas mileage. I went on 2 wheeling trips, but I am getting 8mpg in that thing, it on a good day gets 10.5 mpg *combined hwy and city*

Anyways, its really really really making me want to fix my camaro so that I dont die when gas prices go up I gotta do a full tune up on it, but once I the new air filters, O2 sensor, plugs wires, cap rotor, PCV Valve, and other stuff, what kind of gas mileage will this thing get? It has like 52000 origional miles, its pretty low and it runs amazing, I just wanna tune up for better economy

It will increase noticibly.Run a bottle of fuel system cleaner and check your tire pressure.Tire pressure/size/alignment all factor in to fuel economy.Engine temp is also a factor.180-220 is a good temp.Anything below while running will lower economy.

I have the POS dummy lights so I have no idea what it runs. I think 186 when I had my ALDL Datalog cable, but I sold that. What kinda MPG you think? The 8-10 was on my bronco, not my camaro...

I'm getting 22mpg on my '87 , and that's 5000 miles after rebuilding the engine, and an auto tranny, a manual will do better. All my driving is short trips (10-15 miles) which is worse for fuel economy. I've read posts here with guys getting 27 mpg with a manual.
