Muffler suggestions

I like the sound of the oem muffler alright, but would like to get a little deeper growl out of my v-6. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I am leaning towards either the Flowtech Terminator or Raptor or Dynomax. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

[edit] I did search the threads before posting, so if this has already been addressed Im sorry.

Those do sound pretty bad a$$, I just listened to the audio sample on their webiste. Do they cost about the same as the Flowtechs? I noticed they are both Holley products.

Gotta agree with the flowmasters 80 series Get a 2.5 inch cat back as well, it improves performance AND makes it sound awesome!

I agree,I went to a friends house yesterday and when I pulled up one of his friends was out side and when I got out of the camaro he said that is a bad *** car, what do you have in it?A 350,and I told him no it's just a stock 6 cylinder,he said he did not believe me,then my friend stepped out of his house and told him that it was a 6 cyl.
I told him it's just that flowmaster that makes it sound so good

I've got a 3" Flowmaster 80 series on mine... Honestly, it does sound mean, but I don't like it - I'm saving for a Bassani 3" straight through muffler

DynoMax is Walker. Walker is a BIG OEM for the Auto Industry. Including the muffler you probably have on now. OR it may be an Arvin, same story, big OEM for auto manufacturers.
That said
Contact Mr. Fred Gerle at Pace Setter Exhaust for information on their products.
Pace Setter makes the street legal headers for or V6 F Body's.

About the best you can do is also consider replacing the Catalytic Converter same time as that also has an effect on the final exhaust tone. I have a Flowmaster on my 85 Blazer. It sounds lots better with the 3.4 under the hood, but I seek to replace that Flowmaster some day.

Flowmaster will sound like crap if the dual outlets are 2.5". Make sure to have them reduced down to 2" or even 1.75".

I have a 2.5" in and dual 1.75" outlets. Sounds much better at high rpms.

get dynomax, NO flowmaster i heard them on v6 they sound like 4 cylinders at high rpms. dynomax sounds decent in high rpms. both sound good at low rpm's

Flowmaster is a joke.

Dynomax is two steps higher.

I think if you really look and research. You can find a much better muffler if your willing to spend some cash. Other wise ya might as well get a $20 muffler.

I know that will get some flack but if you gonna spend more then $20. You should really research mufflers and your needs.

SuperTrapp is pretty badass with its tunable pipes. No parts to wear out. Add or remove spacer baffles for sound, BP flow.
