rocker arm question

its been a long time since ive been to this site since i sold my 91 rs about a year and a half ago, but my girlfriends 95 firebird with a 3.4 blew a head gasket and we replaced it. we got it all back together and went to start it but it just spun freely like there is NO compression whatsoever. so were guessing we overtorqued the rocker arms. the chilton said to tighten them, and never game an accual spec. i wasnt there when he was putting them on so i dont know exactly what he torqued them to. what do they need to be torqued to? i know this isnt a third gen car, but its the same basic motor as a 2.8 or 3.1, and i know quite a few on here run a 3.4. plus i already had a log in for this site and i know theres some great people on here that would help me out.

their isnt a specific "torque value". You have engine on piston 1 tdc, adjust xx valves 1.5 turns past valve lash. Spin engine to piston 4 tdc, adjust xx valves 1.5 turns past lash.

if you pm me your email, I scanned the gm/helms manual page for someone else just this week. I will send this image to you.
