WOULD ANYBODY LIKE TO HELP ME WITH MY TIMING INCLUDING DISTRIBUTOR ESC and etc.. i cant seem tu get it figured out.. i have a spark knock right now.. n i would really like some help..!!

 

Does the knocking begin immediately on startup, or only with the opening of the throttle?

 

it used to knock on startup and then go away.. then got worse... and now i just disconnected the battery and the " esc " and pulled the distributor and then put it in.. started her up and i had no rpms?.. n i think its running really rich.. i dont know anymore.. !!

 

when i recently started it.. it sounded better though.. but i still hear a light knock/tap sound.. im not shure... n i know it isnt lifters n such

 

mine taps like the way your saying but mainly when its at least 40 degrees. does yours matter on the temp? i didnt know that dis. and stuff could make your car tap..i'll have to look into that...but...since its been a little warmer i also put in some mystery oil and so far its been alright..even on cold mornings...maybe your lifters were dirty like mine (or still are? i dunno..my car is iffy)

 

What car do you have? A Z28 with a 2.8? What year is this car? Turbo 500?
