you guys would be happy.....

..... im now the owner of a V6 92 camaro...

local guy in the navy had to move and sell it quick.. i got it for $300

needs a fuel pump, but other then that, it runs and its in good shape.

im going to toss a fuel pump in there, charge the AC, give it a tuneup, and drive it for a bit until im sure its reliable... then give it to my sister when she starts school this fall..

any tips or anything unusual about the V6 that i should watch for?

You might want to do a distributor rebuild if its a higher mileage car. Tom P has a good thread on it. The V6 distributor seals are bad about leaking oil, too, so I'd replace the o-ring and maybe use a SBC-style gasket, too.

Later 2.8s/3.1s/3.4s have studs that make it impossible to get the valve covers off without removing the plenum and runners...its a pain, but it doesn't really take that long to do. The only problem is the first time, because the gaskets will usually tear, so they have to be replaced.

yeah, watch out fir the sides of the radiator bulging out, if they are plastic, i had to replace one side on mine about a year ago, also, for some reason every v6 mpfi i have gotten has had a bad no.1 injector, don't know why.
