oil filter bypass on my 2.8L
should there be two oil filter bypass valves? I see one in the block and there is one on the adapter where the oil filter screws on.

its a little spring loaded valve that when the oil filter gets plugged it allows oil to bypass the filter. Next time you change oil look at where the oil filter goes. There is a hole that has the bypass in it.
