exhaust and track bar brace question
in trying to install a new exhaust system i went to unbolt the track bar and track bar brace, however i have a problem witht he brace's mounting bolt on the passanger side, i cant get it out, i removed the nut from the bolt no problem, however the bolt is a big problem, is there any special way that it must be removed or is mine just rusted in good, ive tried everythign twice and soem rust buster a dozen times, any help would be appriciated
With the nut removed as you stated, just spray the heck out of the bolt and all sides and let it soak in for a minute (you did this already) and then get the BFH (hammer). They do not twist out, its a slip fit and the nut locks it together on the other side just like the LCA's do.
The problem arises because that bolt takes alot of lateral stress and wedges itself in there over years of cornering. Its just stuck and needs a little motivation to come out.
ps- it may also help to remove the 3 bolts from the drivers side also and pivot it up and down to loosen things the smack it.

thanks for a reply, i know youd be one of the authorities around the v6 boards, especially suspention wise from what ive read
anywho ive tried all of that
i discontcted the drivers side, no problems there, just a big breaker bar, ive pivoted it a dozen times, ive sprayed so much stuff on it, the nut spins like new on there, and hammer wise, ive used a standard size one and a sledge hammer dozens of times over with each, still nothin
i still have the tires on the ground, well on blocks to give me soem space, that wouldnt cause any binding would it, id rather not swing a huge hammer on a car up on stands if not needed
is it possible for the bolt to bend at all, these bolts look heavy duty and the stamp on the head would indicate a certain hardness of metal if i understand corrcty, but still is it possible to have it bent?
once again thanks for looking

I had the same issue. If you can get an impact on it(i used an electric) to get it spinning, then smack it with the hammer it should come out easy.
It might help to put the other side of the bar back in place while youre get this side out, helps keep the thing out of the way while the hammers flying.

As you assumed I'll bet the body has "flexed" and caused nice grove/wear mark, thus you are "stuck".
You're doing right solutions. Other option may be to play with jacks & such to remove stress on body.
