High volume oil pump
I noticed summit sells high vol oil pumps for our v6's for about $80. Would these be ok to either upgrade to or replace stock pump on a fairly stock motor?

they drop right in, however most people recomend getting a high capacaty oil pan with them. reason being that you can actualy move enought oil to suck the pan dry. there was a thread on it about a year ago i think.
p.s. if i am WAAY off base somone correct me here. i do however believe that this is acurate.

TO ME
Aged engines are right for a high volumn pump.
Extra tolerences equal not "high" pressure, but "just right".
I threw a hgh pressure pump on my old chevy 350 engine & never any ill effects. Been like that geeze for about 6 years now.
I wouldn't worry but I'd find same thing for less.
