Anyone need 2.8 heads...reconditioned and FREE
I posted this in the classifieds also, but I felt it was more appropriate here:
I have a set of reconditioned 2.8 v6 heads. They were on my 1985 2.8 camaro. I put them on about 8000 miles ago when I freshened up the motor. I recently swapped in a 3.4 so the 2.8 came out. I could not see sending reconditioned heads to the junkyard so I pulled them before i discarded the motor.
These are free to anyone who is willing to pick them up. I live in central NJ and will not ship these.
Someone please give these a home.

How much do you think shipping will cost? My 2.8 needs something done to it and I don't have the time to drive from Tampa FL up to central NJ. (It'll cost more than shipping plus eat up at least 30-32 hours going there and back nonstop plus gas and food stops) I get paid next week and should have some extra cash as some of my family has given up on presents and just gives money for X-mas.

I am not sure about how much it would cost to ship. I was trying to give them away locally but I will check into shipping them. I kind of think it will cost more than they are worth.

Alright that's cool. You might be right but I thought I'd ask. I've never needed to order or ship anything that heavy so I was uncertain. By chance if you know anything about these little 2.8's or possibly motors in general please look at my thread about the stuck WOT. I'm lost and I'm good with mechanics and electronics. Thanks in advance

I have my 3800 heads pulled, and they weigh around 32pds ea. shipping from daytin to SC was around $20. Did some playing, usps (was cheaper than ups for the destination) and it is cheaper to send individually than one big box.
