where's the fuel filter

Anyone know off hand where the fuel filter is on an 89 2.8L?

look under the car by the drivers rear wheel.

if you are under the rear of the car by the rear wheel you will see four hoses coming from the tanks (three by the filter as one ends with a vent) it is the shiny cylinder looking thing. i have always found it easy to change. but you will probably dump some gas on yourself.

Yup, I'd have a pan ready.
I wasnt even thinking when I did mine and splashed all over me.

Hmmm...Fuel line contains fuel??

fuel filter

Im about to change mine but the lines are rusted and they just bend when i try to unscrew them what should i do? Soak it with pb blaster?

Yes soak it good, and let it sit overnight. Also Tomp has a number of posts on how to change the fuel filter without breaking the lines or stripping the fittings.
