v-belt setup w/o air pump

alright, the question is pretty simple...i've got a 1985 2.8L v6 car, the car doesn't have the airpump on the right side of the engine (when sittin in car side...) neway, i'm currently changing the water pump (hoping to have that done b4 the day is over , but i got an early start) any7way...the question, how many belts should i have on the engine? I currently have two belts, one goes from the crank to the water pump and to the ALT, the other belt goes from the crank to the PS Pump, to the AC, to the Water pump and back. All the accessories are covered i guess, but...there is another groove in the PS pump/Water Pump/ and crank pulley that could hold another belt. I was wondering if there was a backup belt for the powersteering and crank that or if that was there in case i had the air pump. This question really comes because as i was getting set to replace this water pump, i noticed a small piece of an old belt sitting ontop of the pump and close the cylinder head, and didn't know if the car completely chucked a belt once, and i never noticed. lol. Thanks in advance.
