water pump

im in the middle of my 3.4 swap and found that my water pump for my V belt set up doesnt line up correctly with my timing cover. I know that i can swap timing covers, BUT, if i get a water pump for the 3.4, just what is preventing me from having my coolant flow in the opposite direction other than the thermostat. Im not to sure on this, but if i use the 3.4 thermo which opens in the other direction, than wont i be able to run a 3.4 water pump?

which timing cover are you trying to use?

I have read many times that the timing cover for the vbelt and single belt are different.

From the sounds of it, you need to use your vbelt cover, and a vbelt wp. Or convert ALL your accessorys to a single belt system.

Just swap timing covers. Trust me, it will be easier then trying to fiddle with that wp and chance of it still not working.

*edit* since I see you have a camera. Can you take pictures of both covers next to eachother, and embed them in my 3.4 thread for future searching?
