Where is the alternator regulator?

Where is the alternator regulator?
Is it inside the alternator or located somewhere else ?

If your 91 is having alternator probs, you can't fix them yourself, so don't try. Besides, it's cheaper to get one from a parts house (and they usually have a higher amp rating as well).
