Flowmaster VS DynoMax
I got my dynomax catback put on tongiht it sounds good so far nice deep tone at idle and while driving. I wish it was a little more louder though. The flowmaster sounded good at idle but when i would rev it it would get a raspy sound like everyone says. I will take it for a nice drive tomorrow and see how it sounds but so far i am happy. It was 120 to have it installed and welded on.

Well all the rest of my exhaust is stock but I put a flow 80 with some 4th gen Z tips. It obviously doesnt sound like a V8 but I havent really noticed any bad raspiness to it. The dynomax will probably get a little louder after the glass heat cycles for awhile. I have magnaflow catback on my stang and I know its a different thing they use in theirs, some kind of porous stone material(somethin wierd) but it also got louder and changed the sound some after a little driving.

I have a dynomax and I have no complaints what-so-ever. It has a deep melow sound and I've been told its loud from behind. My opinion is go with the Dynomax.
Just my .02 cents.

sound
Well i would definetley keep the dynomax i have it and everyone thinks it sounds deep and nice. At idle no difference from a v8 and when i get on people think i have a 305. If your think it sounds good now when its still fresh and not broken in wait till carbon builds up and it breaks in hell of a difference. When i first got it it would pop revving up in neutral now that is broken in no popping or weird noises. Did you go with the high flow cat too?

I have a just a dynomax muffler and mandrel bent 2.5 inch dynomax tails on my 2.8L. My friend has a stock 5.0L. Mine sounds better, at least untill like 4000 rpm. It would sound much louder if I didnt have the turndowns on it. I really like it tho, its got a nice sound without being too loud.

Just don't make your own.... At idle mine sounds like a V8, but once you get higher into the RPM's it sounds like crap. But then again, I never liked any 6 cylinder with dual exhaust.
before i did all the work on the v6 the flowmaster sounded like **** above 3,000 rpms (**** burner like) but now it sounds prettyt dam good, though im getting rid of it for a bullet muffler since im going turbo
