Well I ran away from the 86 I was looking at and found an 89 that has Potential written all over it. (at least to me it does... ) picked it up for $200 which I just couldnt pass up. Off to paint though as it has a grey hood, Maroon rear and passenger door, blue chin spoiler, red front bumper, black drivers front quarter panel and door. Looks kinda hokie, but seems to run fairly well.
Now to the issues....
Stumbles off idle. Im gonna check my Dizzy this weekend and probably replace cap/rotor. was told the guy I bought it from put on new plugs wires cap and rotor 6 months ago, then parked it 5 months ago. stuff shoud be pretty new. But it stumbles.
Heater blower dont blow. Im gonna try to hotwire 12V straight to it and see if it kicks, but In order to pass a saftey inspection her in VA I have to have a working Defroster. If I have to Ill mount a toggle switch and just lable it FAN, but I would really rather have it all working like it should.
Headlights... How in the name of all that is sacred do you aim these friggin things? do I have to drop the front bumper to get at the lateral adjustments? I am about to just drill a pair ti 1/4 inch holes for my damn screwdriver to fit through. My verticle adjusters for my Highbeams are stripped out. No adjustment. is there an easy fix? Or do I just have to buy all new pieces.
Spare tire. this is dumb, but where should it be? Im guessing passenger side of the trunk vertically under a panel. if so I neither have a spare OR the panel. gonna have to lookinto that....

First things first, search for info on how to pull the codes using a paper clip or jumper wire. Anything other than a code 12 is a problem and could be your stumble. After that check for fuel and fire.
If the heater blower doesn't work in any speed it could be a fuse, relay, the switch, or the blower motor itself. These cars are getting old and it's not unusual to have a bad blower motor. The switches also are a frequent failure item. If you hit up your local library you can probably find a manual with the wiring diagram for your car. Make sure you use the right diagram for your car with or without A/C however your car is equipped. There will also be a troubleshooting chart in the Helms manual that will tell you how to fix it.
You shouldn't have to remove the bumper to access the adjustment screws, just push the plastic to the side while you turn the screw. If they're stripped out the adjusters can be replaced. Parts should be easy to obtain at a parts store or dealership.
The spare tire is under the rear passengers side panel, just remove the four large slotted head plastic screws and the panel lifts off to reveal the jack, tire iron/rachet and the spare tire.
