Sorry I didnt see the special V6 section for guys like me..LOL

I am hopping that someone can tell me if anyone makes an aftermarket Throttle body unit for the 2.8 L V6.

I cant seem to find one..?...I cant beleive that none exist but I havent been able to find any information except for the V8 units???

Well I kind of thought that......

So..how do I find a shop that does custom TB's for a 2.8 L V6..

Man i cant beleive this.....it seems like there should be something available....somewhere....

may i ask what other mods you have done already? if youre looking for a throttle body as one of your first mods, dont bother, theres plenty more to do before that. do a search for "mods" and youll have to do some extensive reading but youll find a lot for mods to our engines before you ever need a throttle body.

 

No mods at all to the old gal.....but I have a bent throttle rod in the unit and she just does not want to run right...plus the unit was so dirty that even after they cleaned it they said it need to be replaced.

Just looking for a new throttle body but I guess that I may be the only one to ever want just a plain old throttle body..LOL

they make throttle body for 2.8/3.1 motors front wheel drive. but the can do it for 2.8/3.1 rear wheel drive, send them an email and ask for a price , im not sure on how much tho

 

Dude.. Ur telling me U cant find a stock TB for a 2.8?? Heck.. there 9 fbodys at the local pick and pull here in town.. all with the 2.8's in them

 

jk, them are fwd throttle bodys, they are different then ours.

A place out of canada use to make some, only one person has one that I know of.

 

if u send then urs them will bore it out , i did it to my 92 firebird 3.1 before sold it
