hard start when cold

damnit.. so I got a new fuel injector in,
brand new accel set of 6, I know I did it right!

now when I wake up in the morning(when the car is left outside for long enough)
and try to start the car,
it would crank maybe 10second before it starts up.

my fuel pump is fairly new also, but
its been happening since after the shop
replaced my pump.
they told me its the clogged fuel injector.. thats why i
bought set of injector and put them on.

i do have a new fuel filter,
but I was wondering maybe Im looking at something wrong,

Im gonna go check now, but I do have couple other stuff
that could be the reason.. if any1 can point me out
the usual symptom, I'd apprciate them!

1. I do have a tiny exhaust leak from the manifold,
I wrapped it up with high-temp tape but when car is cold (100-120) I still could hear the leak, after couple min of idling, it's gone.

2. I have 1 sparkplug wire that are in different size from all other 5s. 1 is 8mm and others are all 7mm, could this cause problem or hard start?

3. I think my starter or the solenoid is almost dead,
as sometime the car wouldnt even crank,
and it takes me couple attempt until it starts cranking.
this cant cause a hard start once it starts cranking though right?

thanks in advance!

id make sure the starter is turning the engine fast enough,if not that can lead to hard cold starting

a little more detail would be..

I do hear like a click when I try to start(i think the starter solenoid is engaging),
but then thats as far as it goes, but everything like stereo works at this point.

and when it doesnt click and engine do start cranking,
it still takes some time til it starts up.

i was reading through the manual today,
it said that when you have wrong visciosity oil,
it can give u hard start.

I do have 188k mile, so I run 20-50W and 2 quarts of oil stabilizer(very thick).. so that might be it.
but ill take the hard start then.. caz i do get a very nice oil pressure out of my 20-50s

my cap'n rotor is both new, and distributor is new too,
but if it wasnt just the oil, ill try some more to figure out!

hmmm 2 quarts of lucas stuff is a bit much, whats the avg temp were u live?
i run 20-50 in mine in the winter with 1 quart lucas(gets below 20* here in the winter sometimes) and in the summer i run sae 50 with 1 quart lucas and never had a problem

yeah, it said on the bottle that u could use up to 60% of total capacity in badly worn engine..

i think my engine is badly worn.. so i used 2quarts(out of total 4.5Q)
my valve noise is little quieter, along with stable 40psi oil pressure comparing to before it would bobble around 20 or less when engine is warm.(my oil cooler is helping my psi too)

IMO doesnt thicker oil give more resistance to journals
from rotating = am i losing little power there?

i live in north cal..
kinda cold in winter, but never really snow or anything.
summer is realy hot, but top would be 100 or little more just occasionaly.

but yeah until i have money or time to rebuild my engine in the future, i want my car last longer than being a fast car that can brake in a year.. as im a student now and i make no much money, so

i might try the solid 50 castrol and maybe 1 lucas combo then, thanks man
