hi and welcome!.,.,,. i once had a terrible ideling problem it was due to faulty tps sensor,.,.i would suspect a clogged fuel filter. somtimes there just obstructed enough to let min amount of fuel thru,.,.i wonder though!?does it do it if you mash the gas with yer foot real quick from idle??

yeah it bogs out it dies down whenever you mash the gas all the way down but occasionally it will stall no matter how you press the gas but you wait a few minutes and its all good.

The rich exhaust(23) is whats causing this.

Mat(45) will possibly cause 23. So first change the MAT. Then check/adjust your tps. Check all your filters as well.

I would then bet you possibly need new plugs as well.

well theres the problem the last owner took out the stock air canister and a portion of air duct so there now where to put the M.A.T. the connector is just hanging there but i do have a new M.A.T. so should i switch back to stock air intake or just tap the new air duct and hope it works thanks for the insight also i already changed the pugs and wires that helped a little considering they were the original ones

Since you have a bird, create a new intake. Its been posted here alot.

Then yes, tap the new intake, and screw it in.

so i went ahead and taped it out put the new one in and guess what now when you start the car it drops down to 400 to 500 rpms runs like crap and shuts off when you press the gas the computer popped with the M.A.T. and rich exhaust again now it added the M.A.P. sensor and the EGR valve, which i just replaced. so what i am thinking is that their was short in the circuit i just hope i didn't kill the EGR valve i cant even think about it any more

Did you reset the ecm? (to clear the codes)

If yes, with 3.1s, you have to do whats called an Idle Learn, or basically just drive it 100-150 miles to let it reprogam itself.
