Sound like a good 3.4?
Ok, I found myself a 1995 3.4 in a Firebird. I believe this was the last year they made the 3.4s right? Is there any advantage/disadvantage to getting a 1995 3.4? In other words, are there any differences between the older 3.4s? One concern I have is the location of i think it was the knock sensor in the side of the block when compared to the 2.8s, which I have. It's quite close to the starter when you put it on the 3.4 I recall.
But now for the good stuff.....
1995 3.4 V-6
Out of a Firebird, still runs well seeing that the guy enjoyed the fact that he could just reverse the car into the yard.
47,672 miles
Cost for entire engine??? $350
So how's it sound to you guys?

the knock sensor goes in the trash, and cut the wires off the cam and crank sensors and leave them alone, you got yourself a killer deal, im rebuiling my 3.4 now after 60k, im very hard on my cars

assuming it doesnt have any hidden problems, thats a steal! you'd pay at least $150 for a dead core to rebuild!

no there is no knock sensor on the 2.8, so you take the one off the 3.4 and toss it. at that price for that low of mileage, jump on it man!!!! good find and good luck. and theres no difference between a 93 and a 95 3.4, they didnt change anything on them.
