heater core question

ok, since the engine has to come out, I was thinking of just getting rid of the heater core and related hoses to clean up the engine bay and to eliminate having a chane of it leaking and what not. I know I won't have any heat but I don't think I'll need it (Hawaii.....nough said lol )

But here's the question. With the bigger 3.4 (currently got a 2.8), will there be any cooling problems with this? Aside from being able to dissipate the heat should i overheat, are there any other bnefits to leaving the core inside? Better overall cooling if I leave it in? What are your thoughts on this? Thanks!

The only way the heater core would serve you for better cooling is if you turn the heat on. Then the heater core would serve as a second, but very mini, radiator. Other than that, it will not affect your cooling. However, it would be wise to leave it there, incase you do over heat one day, and you can crank the heat up, but most importantly, the blower cover basically fallls apart when you try and remove it. When it falls apart, good luck getting a new one.
