1984 Fuel Pump?

I think my car issues are all steaming from another bad fuel pump, and I am tired of the mechanical pump the 2.8, carbed engine has. Does anyone know of a good, low PSI electronic pump to use in this instance? I would be bolting it on the underbody or under the hood. I beleive the 2.8 carbed engines on;y need ike 4-6 psi and I can not find any small end fuel pumps.

Just look for any pump designed for carb'd vehicles, it doesn't really matter for your kind of application, any pump that puts out low pressure will do well for you.

As already mentioned, any carburetor designed electric fuel pump will do the trick. Just be sure to run an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (the Mallory 4309 is a good piece, it can be lowered down to 3-psi), as well as utilizing your stock fuel return line...

return line? on an E2SE 2bbl?? Mine just has the hard line off the fuel pump to the filter housing off the float bowl...so did my '83 when I had that one...

I had an electric pump on the '83, ordered it at Napa for $25 or so. From what I hear, you're supposed to wire it up to the oil pressure sender so it won't run after the engine stalls (handy in the event of an accident). Mine was wired up straight off the ignition by the previous owner...didn't learn about a safer way to do it until the '83 had been long since dead. I'll be going to an electric on my '84 with the engine swap I'm doing. The adjustable regulator is definitely a good idea.

Sorry about that, I constantly have LG4's on my mind when I think early third generation F-body. Consider getting a different sending unit, if your stock one isn't equipped with a return line fitting (it might be, so be sure to check, as GM might have plugged it up from the factory. Knowing them, anything to save a buck). If it's not, you can always plumb your vapor canister's line as your return line, if your worried about dropping the tank to install a different sending unit, that is....
