ok how hard would it to be to swap the whole engine/wireharness/ecu into my car? my current engine is about shot so is the wireing harness. i understand that i will need to find a place to mount the ECU and all that but shurely it cant be that hard. i am planning on moving to the FWD heads at some point so if i can do this that would be one major problem out of the way.
Probably just a pipe dream but i am so pissed at my car right now that i am tempted to sell it to someone for the norust/never wrecked body. have had a few $1000-$2000 offers.

It's not hard but I suggest a slightly different approach.
Put in the 3.4 engine first with your old harness. Then replace your harness with another stock used harness for the same car.
It's a nice upgrade and a lot less headaches!
Good luck!

Dale did that swap in show truck.
What I was planning w/the 3800 pcm was to put it in the a/c blower box (before it decided to break while being removed) since it was already there & the a/c didn't work anyway.
You'll also need to figure something out w/the tv cable, as teh 3.4 intake/tb mounting doesn't really have space for that routing.
