Hey Dave.

I thought about it, and it would be pretty easy for me to mount the battery tray over on the passenger side. Now, the vapor canister will not necessarily be mounted on the drivers side (replacing the battery), as I already removed the air conditioning unit, and might be able to mount it in the fender (where the electric antenna is mounted, that general area), as there is plenty of room, as well as opening to route the required vacuum lines. I thought about simply tossing it, but if I can retain it, why not...

I already embellished my excitement regarding this kit, as it was very well designed. For those who didn't get a chance to see, the car idled flawlessy the moment the engine ignited. No hesitation, nada! Will be running 15-psi on the street, as the Walbro has already been installed awhile back, just need bigger injectors, as well as an AFPR. I'd still like to hear some feedback about RBob's EBL (in reference to tuning), as opposed to burning chips, repeatedly to get it just right...

Anyways, four more purchases needed.

u dont necisarily need to burn chips.u can get an emulator from moates.net.think of it as turning the chip into a flash chip.and u can upload a new tune while the car is running.its call ostrich.if i wasnt on my pos tunning laptop id hunt down the link but on the main moates page just click were it say emulators

camaros dont have to relocate the battery, unless its on the drivers side,as far as i know all camaros have the battery on the passenger side, and only the firebirds had the batt on the left side.u can keep the ac,i found it easier to install the kit with the ac lines removed, but u dont have to

yeah it could be,ive never seen a v6 camaro with the batt on the drivers side, its not a big deal to move the battery, but i can always just reverse the routing of the charge pipes.its really not a big deal

but it is somethng i would need to know when u place an order for the kit

Assuming thats the way the canadian cars came... If u could reverse the pipes that would be great. BTW, Dave do u run headers on your car? And if so any problems regarding them and the turbo piping?

LMAO. I guess mine would have responded the same way, but even she was very impressed with the kit. I tell ya Dave (Dr.), when I caught up with it at the track, I never expected to see what I did. I mean, it looks as if it literally belongs in there when you see it up close. The creativity is very prevalent to the trained eye, and the simplicity of it makes it so damn unreal...

I explained to her that the amount of time it would of taken me to figure out the right way of routing of the all the piping (I barely have enough time do anything other than work anymore), as well as all the little things that always seem to pop up when designing your own setup, I'd be saving myself a lot of headaches, as well as the expense of any possible mistakes (welding etc.), in the long run. I was so damn impressed with his kit, because it is exactly the way I would have wanted it, the right way...

OK, does all turbo piping include the exhaust manifold or did I miss something?

EDIT: OK, I was just looking at your pics on the How-To thread. It looks like the turbo isn't bolted directly to the exhaust manifold like I thought. Interesting...

If you hit your 5 person mark, and then later on you open up your store. Will you be raising the price of this setup? If so that's okay, money well deserved, good job and luck on the setup and starting of your company. Time for me to start Saving .

Not bad at all, i'd take $2800 on something proven to work, over a kit like BBSDesigns $4000+ turbo kit.

Im plannign on installing an aluminum driveshaft in my car. I hear alot of mixed reviews about them though. Some say they cant handle much power some say they can... I'm sure this kit won't pose a problem with the shaft.. rite? Any warranties or anyhting like that to be included (not to sound like one of those people, lol)

Wow sounds great! The only thing is I have the 2.8, will this kit work with it? If so I probably won't do my engine swap, unless this kit will fit itpower anyone? Well I also have the automatic transmission and with the way I have beaten on it I dont think it could take the power, so do you have any suggestions on a new transmission? (Preferably a 5 speed) Also my buddy has a spare T3/T4 turbo laying around that he'll give me a good deal on so would you be able to take the turbo out? One more question, what other parts do we need to buy to have it in and running? Any special air filter or lines? Thanks alot and good luck with your future turbo kits.

es arent something i thought about, though each turbo and wastegate comes with a warrenty of 1 year when i get them so i can include that, other then that theres nothing really to break
i personally dont like alum drive shafts, but yeah it should hold up,id be more worried about the u joints then the shaft itself, warrenti

yes this will fit the 2.8/3.1 will even fit a 3.4 in a 3rdgen.the only thing u would need to buy would be yes the air filter, the oil return lines(im not inclusing these cause u need to put the fitting in the oil pan urself,so if i made up lines and u installed the fitting in the wrong spot, the lines wouldnt fit anyway, and i am not including injectors(since this kit is adjustable in the amount of boost it could run, well if i gave u injectors to run 7 psi but u wanna run 12 psi there useless to u anyway.)

Dave, glad to se your up and running with this! Asked you before about marketing them. I'm designing a twin turbo set up for V6 3gens, even have a bud that works @ a CNC shop! Plan is to make 2 manifolds that the turbo will mount directly them, from there to the bottom of a intercooler (two 2 1/2" inlets one 3" on top) then directly into the manifold. I stole the intercooler position from an '87 GN one of my customers has (9300 orig. mi. how cool) but i don't know about the fan on the harm. balancer.
Any how thanks for the input and I'm glad to see your sticky STICK!
One more question though, Have you had any problems with detonation yet running on pump gas?

not at all though whenever i have the boost above 14psi ive run a mixture of pumpgas and 104 octane race gas.scratch that i did have detonation problems a 2 times in the dead of summer when it was like 103* out running 10 psi.after about an haalf hour of sitting in traffic and then getting on it i had a lil bit of drtonation.though it was a combination of engine temps around 200* and the fact the intercooler/piping was heat soaked

Im 100% in. But like I said in the other thread I would want to buy the intake, headers, and turbo. So I dont know if that would qualify me for the group purchase. Also would payment be due before or after it is built? Thanks

No, it doesn't say how much power it'll put out because that would depend on too many factors. Engine condition, amount of boost you run, how you tune it, etc. The sticky was to give you a breakdown of the process and what things you will need to do it. He listed no such needs for internal upgrades on a basic setup running 7psi. That was to answer your question about what should be done to the motor to support this setup.

^^^^ true, and jak, theres noway someone can tell you how your motor will run.....to mant factors, from daytime temps...to elevation...to motor. its different for everyone. not to sound mean, but someone asks the same question at least every other day. g/l.
