Successful 90-92 V8 to V6 cluster swap(pic).

They said it could'nt be done...they said I was mad!!! Here is the proof. Okay, enough of the movie stuff. I had gotten a cluster from a 90-92 V8 305 to go in my 91 V6. The tach and oil was gonna be off due to the engines. No problem. The pic shows the each panel gauge CAN be taken out ( the tach is shown as being removed). If you take a small screwdriver and CAREFULLY pry out the panels, you can swap your V6 stuff over to a V8. Everything just pops out pretty good. Remember, these panel have been in the cluster for a while so take your time and pry around the panels equally a little at a time. The top of the panels are pretty much glued a little but the will come off and DON'T force them too much. After I took out the tach, I replaced the panel which had the oil gauge on it the same way. ALSO, look in the right hand lower corner and you'll see the circuit which controls the tach signal. This also comes out. Once again, be careful and it pulls straight up. Don't blame me if ya mess up your cluster. If you can, get another one to play with, namely the one you are going to put in so you don't mess up the one that is in there now.
