Purge valve HOT to the touch??? WHY?

My 92 3.1rs runs rough and have replaced all the sensors as well as the ECM. Noticed today that the purge valve on the canister is very VERY hot to the touch. Have replaced IAC,TPS,MAP,O2,ECM,Dist cap and button as well as est, coil pack,Spark plugs, temp sensor for ECM and all was done at the same time. not even a week ago..still runs rough and sluggish as if the motor is tired...when i first start the car for the day it starts perfect and then begins to run rough..every second or two it tries to clear up to a smooth idle but drops again to rough. If I disconnect the vac hose on the MAP it runs perfect for a sec and then drops again. when i do this i can here my smog reacting to the vacuum...but have no idea what to do and why my purge valve is getting so HOT..HELPPPPP!!!
Thanks, Drako

It's normal for the purge valve to be hot.
