Codes 15 & 45, anyone ever run into that combo?

13, I meant 13

13 (from list found on 3rdgen.org, no mention in haynes) Oxygen sensor signal stays lean during warm engine cruise
(chilton's) o2 sensor

45 (from haynes & 3rdgen) rich exhaust
(chiltons)o2 sensor rich

Anyone else ever run into that, and was there a quick fix for it?

I'm going to go out and start checking the evaporative charcoal canister for presensce of fuel, and also the furel pressure regulator vacuum control hose for presence of fuel. (as it says in haynes manual) Tomorrow I'll get a new o2 sensor also.

When the car was first started ( My dad was bored and I wasn't there to supervise the operation) The headers were starting to glow a little from the timing being off I guess.

Is it possible that the extra heat messed up the O2 sensor?

I guess I should mention this too...the SES light only comes on randomly from time to time anywhere from 5 seconds to a couple minutes. Sometimes twice in a minute.

I pulled the hoses off the charcoal canister and couldn't really smell any fuel. The line going from the TB to the pressure regulator also didn't smell like fuel. Also couldn't find anything wrong with the wires.

I got about 270miles on the last tank of gas. That's about 90 less than what I got with the 2.8. I figured since it's a new engine and is breaking-in, that it wouldn't be getting super mileage yet, but that's ridiculous.

Tomorrow I'll get another o2 sensor anyways, perhaps a better brand this time. I don't know what's in there now, but it was like $15-20 I think.

sounds liek the o2 sensor is dead, ive had the same code combo before along with a lean 02 code after changing the o2 they all went away.

bosch replacement single wire o2 is 19$'s at autozone.
and yes extreame heat can kill an o2 sensor, the same goes for an o2 not getting hot enough

Cool, well hopefully a new 02 will cure it then. I've been getting the codes ever since I first started driving with the 3.4 in there, so maybe the heat did kill it on that first startup.

this weekend is the first time in the last 3 weeks that I've had a couple days off with the car in my posession and running to mess with it.
