Trying to remember what I need to pull tranny?
Hello. Its been a few years since I had to change one if these. But here is my list that I can remember of what I need to pull a 700R4 from 3rd gen.
If memory serves me right all I need to pull a tranny out of these cars is 15mm (crossmember), 18mm (bellhousing), 10mm (Inspection cover) and 1/2" TQ (converter to flexplate) socked and wrench, 2 extentions one long and one short, a universal (swivle) adapter. Its been a few years since I had to pull one.
If I am missing anything or wrong, let me know.

if i remeber right the tq converter to flexplate is also 15mm,and i think 2 of the bolts on the inspection cover are also 8 mm.
if u dont remove the tv cable from the throttle linkage/intake manifold (cant be done without removing the uper plenum) u also need a 12 or 13mm socket to get the trans pan off,and 10,or 8mm socket to get the tv cable unhooked form inside the trans.imho the easiest way is to unhook it from inside the trans, and just hook it to the new trans,be a good time to do a fluid/trans filter change in the new trans as well.if u do this and have access to a tig or mig welder this would be the perfect time to install a drain plug in the trans pan.makes life easier down the road if u ever need to service/or swap out the trans again
