I've looked, and searched, googled, and yahooed.. dose any one make a crank with a bigger stroke than stock for the 2.8-3.4 engines?
its more of a curiousity thing I'm just wandering what say a 3.620" bore and a 3.500" stroke would create power wise?
with a turbo? or would a shorter strok make for more exhaust gas cause of the more RPM?

The only crank that could be modified to work, and should be able to get a longer stroke out of is the stock 3500 crank, it's definatly not a drop in, and there's a lot of interferance with the block webbing, and rods.
Turbo engine's generally like short stroke engines, and the 2.8L stroke seems to work well with these engines and cylinder diameters.
I will most likely be building a short stroke 3.1, to get a slighty higher RPM band, but I'm not sure if the low RPM torque trade off is worth it.

thats what I'm worried about, I like my torque, but I dont have the time or money to convert to a V8. If I can mange 200+ TQ at 2500 RPM I think I'll be happy (thats NA TQ btw.. turbo I would expect 250)
