What Tranny?
Do you know what tranny is in a 1992 camaro 3.1 automatic? Reason i want to know is my tranny is starting to slip and im gonna save up for a replacement.

Axle/Gears: 4.30 M12, 23.42 10 bolt
Should be a 700r4, but you need to look at the pan to find out which, I dont think they had a 4l60 yet.

4L60 and 700R4 are two names for the exact same transmission. GM started calling it a 4L60 starting in 1990.
All thirdgens with autos from 83-92 use the 700R4/4L60 automatic transmission. The 82's and some 83's used the TH200C automatic.
