You can make your own, several here have.
However, most put the 2.8/v8 TPI intake in it that is a dual snorkle. I did a type up on it along time ago how to do it. The intake was also tested by another board member to having very little to no resistance in stock form, let alone slightly modified.

The intake I have on my 92 3.1L is a custom one by a company called Vibrant. Basically I have a 90 degree angle come out of the intake and into a 45 degree in the exact spot as the stock intake. is a 3 inch tubing. costed me $100. Never got dyno numbers of it but would have to say 10hp. Noticed the engine temperature running 15 degrees colder.

He has a Firebird and you have a camaro. Get the intake from a 2.8 camaro or a TPI camaro and use that. the firebird cant use that intake cause the hood wont clear. you will not benifit on a V6 camaro from anyother intake. The stock CAI pulls air from INFRONT of the radiator and has fewer sharp angles than your gonna get from another intake that pulls air from anywhere else that is a True CAI.
Shouldn't cost you any $100 from a Junkyard, should be able to get one for under $50 (thats what i have seen them for).

it supplies enough for air 350! your V6 will NEVER need more capacity than what it offers(2.8L is 171ci, 3.1L is 189ci, 3.4L is 207ci).

the stock 2.8/350 tpi intake setup is about the best you can get on these camaros. if you look at one and see where the air filters are, theyre in front of the radiator, which means, air temp. basically, they come stock with a cold air intake setup stock. and since the 2.8 was equipped with a 350 tpi intake, you know that itll flow more than what is desired for the 2.8 to breathe properly. all you need to do is modify the air box on the bottom side and youre good to go. the home depot special couldnt do better than that, lol. thats basically for firebirds that cant run the camaro intake setup.
btw, IM sent to you.

I have look at some cold air intakes and most of them just have a 90 degree angle out of the engine. And some have a 90 degree and then like makes a nother angel and goes toward the ground. i live in tennessee so im kinda afriaid to get one of the ones that go toward the ground because im afraid of water geting in it or can water get in it?

thats a second option, that is not part of the factory setup.
Search for a post by me made atleast a year ago (I'm guessing). It shows a how to on install, mod the box, and gut a MAF.
