any of you know what the secondary timing is supposed to be on a 1989 2.8 . i purchased this just about a month ago for my youngin . and it still pops through the throttlebody . just like the secondary timing is off . replaced distrib. .and rewired correct . checked trhee or four times . i know in order to get a true reading you have to disconect the brown/black strip wire. please help . youngin getting on my nerves about driving the thing

Ignition Timing should be 10* BTDC with the tan wire D/C...remember, #1 is on the passenger side on these motors, unlike the 8 cyl. which is on the diver's side.
