questions , questions ??????

hey just wanted to know if any you guys have had this problem
when ever iset my secondary timing to 10 degrees . and shut car off and rehook brown/black stripe wire . crank car again and check timing again . i can give the car some throttle and the timing retards before it advances. is it supposed to do this . still having it pop througt throttle body like it is out of time . have new puter coming in two days . i checked fuses no problem . acts like about 2000 to 2500 rpm running out of fuel . any answers on where to look next . i have replaced dist and pickup , new wires and plugs , new front main seal new trans filter and trans fluid , new fuel filter new throttle body , new cap and rotor , the only thing left is puter and fuel reg and injectors. please help daughter going crazy wanting to drive . thank you in advance terry

Transmission: 700r4....not stock either
Axle/Gears: 3.73
have you checked the timing chain? ...to make sure it didn't jump a tooth somehow

HEY GUYS THANK YOU FOR INFO NEW PUTER ON WAY AND NEW TIMING SET ON WAY BE IN TOMORROW. just going to replace both

Lots of members on this site (myself included) have also had a problem with ignition fire "bleeding off" because of the ignition coil.

The last time I had this problem (backfiring, sputtering, and other weirdness) I didn't find the problem until it was night. When it is dark, you can see the craziness if there is an iginition thing going on under the hood that you can't see in the light...
