possible new source for forged pistons.

I'm asking first, would these forged fiero pistons work in our versions of the 660?

The wrist pin locations are different to allow for the longer stroke without smacking the piston into the head.

GM used the same rods in both the 3.1 and 2.8 (5.7"), to do this they had to move the wristpin up higher on the piston.

so its either rework the pistons or use a 2.8 crank then... which would decrease the displacment.. but would allow for a nice bit of boost......

A nice bit of boost can be had on stock pistons, with a good tune .
I saw a car with 30psi and cast pistons.

Use the 2.8 crank, or use a shorter rod. The wrist pin height can't be altered.

A shorter rod won't work either, because then you have problems at the opposite end of the stroke.

I wont ever run that high a boost level.. thats crazy... I'd proably stick at around 7-10 max on stockers.
