How to pull an intermidate code

I was hoping some gurus could help me. My CEL keeps turning on and off, i was wondering if that gets stored in the memory if not is there a way to pull the code then since i cant do it while I'm driving and it wont do it at idol?

Hm. That FAQ link didn't display the connector properly in my browser- it made it look like one long single-row connector.

Yes, an intermittant code gets stored in the computer's memory. It will get erased from memory after a certain number of start/run cycles (if I recall correctly). So you don't have to pull over right away, but don't wait weeks to check on it, either!

The code erases itself after 80 good warmup cycles with no problems. So you're looking about 20-40 days it's stored in memory...unless of course you pull the battery or something to clear the ECM.

IIRC, GM says that a warmup cycle consists of starting at or below 80 degrees F. and an increase of 50 degrees or more.
