T5 issue, has this happened to you!
I was driving home today and the stick shift just came aloose. When I pulled the cover off of the housing for the shifter I noticed 3 of the bolts that hold the stick in place had come out. How I don't know but I almost s--t bricks. Needless to say I found the nearest advanced auto got some new bolts with lock washers and got it back on the road. Just wanted to know if anyone has ever had an issue like this before.
Being that my wife threw a rod in my truck this weekend it has to be my daily driver so I was almost in a world of hurt.
Thanks in advance!

Nope.
You probably better check your trans oil as well. I bet some was slung out while you were driving. That HAS happenned to me and the result is a transmission that sounds like it has gravel inside it...
A loose cover generally means that someone has been inside it...

Yea I did a quick inspection before I put things back together. Actually as soon as it happened I pulled over so I didn't go too far from that moment. It was a quick 10 min fix.
