hood problem need help

The hood on my camaro has about a 1/2inch to an 1inch gap between the facia cover and itself. The thing is, is that the hood lines up flush with the fenders and closes and shuts fine. It just looks like its not shut all the way, but, it is latched on. I don't think its anything wrong with hood itself b/c it lines up perfect with the fenders. The only thing i could think of is that maybe the facia cover has warped or shunk a little. Everything on the cover looks normal exept that and it really bugs me.
If anyone has had this problem or has an idea of what could be wrong your idea would be helpfull. I'll tryand get pics up soon.
