Correct netres for my '165?

I've posted this in the diy-prom board as well, but here it is again. I've been running a '165 in my '85 v6 camaro for a while now and need some advice on the netres I should be using. I'm getting a code 41 (wrong memcal) and have been swapping in various netres trying to find one that'll run correctly, without much luck. Currently I have netres from an '88 cutlass ('730) ecm and it's running... to say the least. I haven't tried parts from a '90-'92 v6 fbody yet. The main problem with this swap is that the '165 wasn't used w/ any v6's so finding the right netres is difficult. I'm almoast certain an aussie v6 '808 memcal would work, advice?

What is a "netres"? I did a Google and dictionary.com search and came up with nothing.

The 2 smaller chips on the memcal that hold the limp home info, cylinder select and other stuff. I believe only one is actually a netres (network of resistors) but everyone seems to reffer to both as netres.

Are you changing both of the cylinder select parameters in the calibration? No reason you can't use a MEMCAL from a 6 cylinder '7730 app. That will at least fire the injectors at the proper rate. And if you don't want the knock filter just remove it.

RBob.

Re: Correct netres for my '165?

I've only changed the cyl # constant, I wasn't aware there was another in $32B. Def. keeping the knock filter, not sure why gm didn't equip the 6's with a knock sensor in the first place. If I'm not mistaken the ecm needs to see a certain resistance from the cyl select pin on one of the netres, is it even the same between those ecms?

Got it figured out. Had to change the code 41 fueling parameter to v6. Thanks to RBob for clarifying what I was missing.
