Re: wat to do?

K&n air filter, Good flowmaster exhaust, Advance timing a little like 3-4 degrees, after that nit to sure if its worth it. Only my opinion though. I would sell it and get an iroc or somthing with a 350 in it. Only my opinion though.

HMMM. My v6 was just as fast as a v8 with the turbo on it, and the new N/A motor will be able to beat an LT1 with all stock GM parts (except the headers and cam).

When this motor is back on the boost, it should be a killer.

Then why waste your money? If you want to do a v8, then save your money and do a v8, instead of wasting it on an engine you're just going to replace.

I have to agree, I've never understood this idea of spending money on an engine you plan on replacing. I suggest you take the money you wpould have spent on the 2.8 and send it to me, that way I can put it to better use.

Re: wat to do?

just buy some nitrous and feed it a small 50 shot that should wake it up a tad. Imo exhaust an all that is just a waste if your going to swap the engine out. I think nitrous would be the best option for you just dont get addicted to it or ull be doing that swap sooner than you think.

Re: wat to do?

You can make plenty of power with a v6 and still have better handling than a v8. Just takes a little more creativity.

Or you can swap in a v8 and make it nose heavy. A v8 swap is pretty involved, you'll need a new trans, radiator, wiring harness, ecm, engine mounts, y-pipe, front springs and fuel pump. Might be better to keep the v6. If you're just going to toss the v6 don't put any money into it.

To sell your car for another one with a V8 already in it? Where is the fun in that ?! Some of us have become attached to our cars, so selling for another is not even close to an option.

With your stock engine, there isn't a whole lot to do for power. You can do intake/exhaust, should give you some, at least she'll sound better

I forgot, did you have a webpage or a thread with what your doing with your motor, or is it secret?

Haha. I know it sucks, do you know how many times I have typed the procedure for changing to FWD heads? I'm sure Six_Shooter is happy he isn't he one doing it anymore, but since the last server change the site search has been sub-par in my opinion.

Search is a good tool, so don't be one

Re: wat to do?

How about making a sticky thread on the exact procedure of changing to FWD heads?

most stickys arent read by new members who have questions about stuff like "how can i get more HP" and all that. look at the stickys that are in most forums, and then look at all the posts after that sticky relating to the same topic. i was guilty of it as well when i first joined, but i quickly learned to search.

and i do agree, the search on here isnt nearly as great as it used to be. i miss the old one. but, you have to have patience and just sift through all the crap and you will find what you need. it will save unneeded threads, senior members from getting annoyed , and youll get your answers w/o all the other random crap that can fill up your post, and you wont have to wait, possibly days to get what you want.

He might gets some extra MPGs if he's nice to his motor. lol the only thing i love about our V6s is the MPG . "oh ya i can beat your 350! in MPG!"
