Won't start-fan is running while cold
Engine won't start most of the time. I thought it was dist. cap & rotor since they looked pretty dismal but I changed them out for new ones & no help. I just noticed that the electric fan is running when I turn the key even though the engine is ice cold. Could that have something to do with problem? New thermostat needed maybe? Any advice greatly appreciated. Forgive my ignorance-I'm brand new to the world of fuel injection & cars with computers, etc. Thank you.

Sounds like you fan is rigged up like mine. Its just grounded to the firewall so that the fan kicks in with the fan. Are there any other problems with the car to make it not start?

To be a little more specific- I am not getting spark. Haynes manual said to check the batt. terminal at coil with test light. It didn't say exactly where the hell it was but I tested all 4 connecters to coil with key on & no juice. So it says if that is the case then there is an open circuit in the ignition primary wiring leading to dist. Now I have to check wiring continuity back to ignition switch using test light (which I really have no idea how to do).
