I just got the Dynomax Super Turbo exhaust system setup. The only thing I can't quite figure out is exactly how the driver's side exhaust tip hanger/bracket hooks up to bottom of car. I know I could rig something but I'd really like to see how it's suppose to look (see what I'm missing). A picture would be excellent. Thank you ahead of time.

 

When i changed my rear exhaust kryppy the drivers side pipe had a hanger on the chassis rail type structure (the bumpers bolted to them) under the fuel tank it had 2 bolt holes already there. I couldn't use this hanger when I put my exhausts on because they were too far out board of it, so i made a custom hanger that used the same bolts/holes but fit the exhaust.

ii fabricated something using the bolts securing the rearmost crossmember- (thats what the rear bumper sits on) to the subframe - my factory tow loop thingy was bolted there.......
it was easier for me than using the above mentioned standard mounting holes

That was my old setup. Since then I have gotten a Magnaflow and a cat back on.

My dynomax on the v6 car I had bolted up fine in the rear. They did put the flange to the cat on backwards. that sucked ***

 

Quick question for 2.8 how much power did you gain with that setup cuz im thinking about the same for mine and wasnt sure if it was worth it or to go with an exhaust for a 350 like the flowmaster 80's series

 

Anything is better than stock exhaust.

 

Did you get that from jegs? If so, did it come with a cat?

 

Got Dynomax Turbo Exhaust system from Summit (I don't think Jegs sells them). Did not come with cat. I don't like/believe in cats anyway. First thing I do when I get a car is throw the cat. away or sell it. From my experience it just chokes the exhaust system too much. I know, I know I am destroying the ozone- I apologize.

 

They make highflow cats...
