Spark Pulg Test
Following the lead from a few people here I tried a plug test these past 2 weeks. What I did was throw in a set of bosh plats. in and drove the car for a week to see how it would run. Then I took them out and put in a set of a/c delcos and gave those a shot. Final results: just because they cost more don't mean they are better. I know pleanty of you guys have said so and so did my dad but I'm a little hard headed and had to see for myself.
What I did was took a ride from my house in Virginia Beach to my dads hometown in Edenton NC just to see how much gas I would burn round trip and how the car reacts. Roundtrip is 187 miles.
Bosh Plats: with a full tank of gas when I returned home I had less than 1/4 tank of gas. Car had slow response when gong through 1st & 2nd gear but responded well from 3rd on ( thats from a complete stop).
A/C Delco: when I returned home I had a little over 1/2 a tank. Response through all gears was very nice and car ran very smooth.
From the first trip along with the plug change was fresh oil, wires, dis cap, rotor, radiator flush, plugs gapped to .045, tire pressure check the whole 9. All I did with the 2nd trip was change the plugs.
Don't know if this will help anyone make a decission on what they choose to use but just though I would throw this out there. But I I must say don't waste your money!

AC Delco plugs are the best kept secret out there.

Plain ole copper is what I used. And I drive it daily now every since my wife locked up the engine in my truck.

I would but thats just me. For the buck you're not gonna find a better plug for these cars in my opinion. You might want to go with the platinums though.

I don't like platinums. They are too sensitive for these engines, with my right foot anyway...
Plain AC Delco copper plugs, pull and check them every 10k miles. Can't beat that...

Re: Spark Pulg Test
I have never had good luck with any Bosch platinums. They have all gotten pulled for delcos within two weeks on any engine i've owned.
There was also a thread about this a while ago, with the majority saying that Bosch platinums were nothing but problems. However, there were also quite a few people who really liked them... It seemed that most of the people that liked them had a beefed up ignition (MSD, etc).
