Ground question.

I was woundering if it would be ok to do away with the ground on the back of the drivers side head and put it somewhere esle.. Or does it have to be on the back of the head. And are those the only grounds that go on the motor other than the one from the battary. Thanks for any help on this. The only reason i want to relocate the ground on the heads to somewhere esle is cause they are hard to get to cause of the firwall. Thanks for the help.

Re: Ground question.

relocating's fine as long as it works just as good, id add more grounds whilst your at it as well, older cars seem to suffer from old grounds which can randomly make anything not work properly.

Re: Ground question.

The back of the head is one of the best places for the grounds. I know it's hard to get to, but why do you need to get to it? Put a good ground there and then forget about it. Pretty much every where else that you attach a ground to the engine you end up going through some bracket somewhere, which makes a worse connection.

The only thing better is to make a longer, bigger ground hookup from the back of the head and have it come around to terminal block that you mount in an easier location. Then hook that terminal block to the battery negative, the firewall, and other body locations.

Re: Ground question.

The reason I want to relocate the ground form the back of the head is cause once the motor goes back into the car you cant get to the back of the head cause of the firewall. I just want to find a easy way to do it and still have a good ground. Thanks for all the help
