Starter issues

I have just put the motor back in to my 86 camaro. IT is a 2.8 my qestion is did i leave something off the starter. I put the bat and the two other ways on the big post. and then the one wire onto the small post. Put the starter want do nothing with i turn the ingtion. I dotn have all the wires hucked back up yet just trying to make sure my starter is good befor i put the manafold back on. Easy to get to the wires on the starter. And as always thanks for any help.

There is no reason to do anything until all of the wires are hooked back up. The starter will be easy enough to pull back out if there is a problem.

You should test your starter BEFORE you put it on if you are worried about it. Either bench test it, or take it to your local auto parts store and have them test it.
