crank pulley.....

SO i ordered a crank pulley for my 86 2.8......
and it doesn't look like it will work. Did they change the belt setup with the 2.8's?

Mine has two belts.....and the pulley I got only has one.

Re: crank pulley.....

Yes. The earlier models had v-belts, the later had serpentine. You've got a v-belt from what you're describing and that pulley is a serpentine pulley.

Re: crank pulley.....

Check out this part # at Summit.... JET-90108
It says its for you year, but it looks like its for a serp. set-up.

Although if you look up this number... ASP845200 ...it shows as a 2.8 crank pulley. Than if you go to ASPracing.com you will see that that part number is for the 2.8 Fiero.
Anyone know if it will work for his engine?

the 85's (and i'm assuming the 86 up to whenever they switched to serpentine) had one flat belt running the alternator and one v-belt running the ps pump...
