For a hell of a lot less money then $80, you could get a 3.1L fuel rail, injectors, sensors, ecm, harness, etc and just convert to the later engine management.

Re: 2.8 cold start vavle

It's only used at startup. You could plug it, but it would crank longer before starting. A '730 conversion would be a lot of work just to get around a leaky cold start injector, but it's a good ecm anyway. To do it you'll need to plug the cold start injector, switch to an electric egr, wire in a knock sensor, ditch the maf, repin the harness (switch connectors too) and wire in a map sensor. It should run fine with the 2.8, but if you want a 3.1 all you need to do is swap cranks and pistons. Or keep the stock ones and have them milled.

Re: 2.8 cold start vavle

Sorry I mean tube.

I think i found the problem. Looking back in some old pics I saw that the o ring was bigger then the one that napa gave me. So to find out the o ring i bounght was to thin for it. I found the o ring and now she is leak tight. Thanks for all the help.
